-THE surprise-
went to swensens after training to celebrate yaqi's belated birthday today.. it was lovely,esp the singing of the birthday song that everyone is VERY familiar with. i thought it was the most melodious and harmonious birthday tune ever sung in the entire world. haha. that is how i describe the celebration.. seeing perfection in imperfection.
i never though there would be such a day that everyone would come together for things like that. it was a wonderdul process-from the day we said,"yaqi's birthday coming. how? how? how?" till the time we left that restaurant.. a regret that it was belated though.. it started with me and cheryl talking on the phone. haha.
SWENSENS. den it was how to get yaqi to hang around till late after trg w/o telling her about the surprise. she agreed la,if not i wouldnt be blogging about "THE birthday celebration" now. haha. me and cheryl agreed to share the msging load. haha. next day which is today,we had training.. special thanks to hui shi and hui wen who sped their way to cp to queue the long queue. they were followed by jemaine and yanling.. we can also act la. said goodbye to them at the road junction like as if they're going home already and they bid their goodbyes back. *grins* haha. me,cheryl,aisah and yaqi were walking rather slowly. we had to buy time!! went down to basement and saw the monstrous queue. and okay,i know its laame but i suggested going to popular and they went mini toons instead. but its not about popular and mini toons dont you agree.
the whole idea was to wait for the time to come to drag yaqi into swensens. LOLS. perfect timing. after she bought her gummies,hui shi called to tell us they got a table already. so we acted again. cheryl asked whether we should go eat first and me and aisah were like,yeah,lets go eat first. i "suggested" swensens and guess what, cheryl said," go eat shrooms la." haha. nice one? when we reached the entrance,yaqi saw the queue and thought we were crazy to just go straight in like nobody's business. LOLS. but the time had come. i pulled her all the way in,and ta-da! the reliable pair(huishi and huiwen) was sitting at the table11 welcoming us.
we had a fabulous time eating dinner. i could actually wonder if it was just a dream. TEAM was the word. the cake was great! thanks to our reliable pair again,when asked"what flavour?",i just said,"you all decide.". good taste. no pun intended but good taste the both of them have and good taste(the cake). ha. the staff at swensens crowded around the table to join in the singing. one of them was saying loudly just before we sing,"aye,YAQI hor." and we burst out laughing. "happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to yaqi. happy birthday to you."we ate the cake and paid(nv go behind and wash bowl hors) haha. and blah blah blah..this is THE celebration. the long winded account. all the way till we left the restaurant. longest post so far? haha. shan't go on about what we did after that. i hope everyone had a great time like i did! if everyday was,as good as today was,i cant wait till tomarrow comes...
