i wasted 18 seconds of my life crossing the road today. -.-
pastor is back from london so he taught catechism today.
he continued teaching on The Lord's Prayer.
one of it got me thinking...
in the fifth petition,[which is, And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us,] we pray, that God, for Christ's sake, would freely pardon all our sins; which we are the rather encouraged to ask, because by his grace we are enabled from the heart to forgive others.
if everyone practise forgiveness,wouldnt it be too wonderful a world to live in? yea,but FAT HOPE. it really is easy to say but how difficult is it to put these words into action? people often say," forgive and forget" and i believe there is no such thing as you forgive and not forget. if one does not forget,isnt it just about the same as not forgiving? it is like holding that grudge and refusing to let go. how then can this be considered as forgiving when you are still bearing that grudge? on the other hand,who is able to forgive and forget everytime?
